Assessment

Paper 1 – Computer Systems: Written exam, 2 hours 30 minutes, covering the hardware, software, data representation, and legal and ethical issues. Paper 2 – Algorithms and Programming: Written exam, 2 hours 30 minutes, focusing on computational logic, problem solving, and coding theory. Non-Exam Assessment (NEA) – Programming Project: A practical, independently designed and developed coding project where you create a solution to a real-world problem. This course is assessed through two written exams and one NEA. The NEA allows students to demonstrate programming and analytical skills through an independent software development project.
