Assessment

Assessment is through a combination of both externally assessed exams (50%) and internally assessed work (50%). Students must complete three mandatory units and one optional unit. Mandatory units – Externally assessed: 1. Human Lifespan and Development 2. Human Biology and Health 3. Principles of Health and Social Care Practice Internally assessed Optional units – students complete one unit (to be chosen by the teacher): 4. Health, Policy and Wellbeing 5. Promoting Health Education 6. Safe Environments in Health and Social Care 7. Health Science
