Course summary

BTEC Level 3 Applied Law is a practical course that brings the legal system to life. You’ll learn how laws are made and applied, explore criminal law, civil disputes and the court process, and see how the law impacts everyday situations. Along the way, you’ll build key skills in research, analysis and problem-solving, all of which are valued in careers such as law, business, policing and public services. This course also provides a strong pathway into university or apprenticeships in the legal and business sectors.
