Mandatory Units: Human Lifespan and Development (Externally Assessed) – Covers physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development across different life stages, including factors that influence growth and development. Working in Health and Social Care (Externally Assessed) – Focuses on the roles and responsibilities of professionals in the sector, ethical principles, and policies governing care services. Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs (Internally Assessed) – Explores person-centred approaches, care planning, and the importance of meeting diverse individual needs. Optional Units (One to be chosen): Sociological Perspectives – Examines how social factors influence health and wellbeing. Psychological Perspectives – Focuses on psychological theories related to health and social care. Supporting Individuals with Additional Needs – Covers strategies for supporting individuals with disabilities and special needs. Physiological Disorders and Their Care – Looks at common physiological conditions and how they are managed in health and social care settings.
