Modules Students taking the Extended Certificate will do the following four units: – Unit 1: Exploring Business – coursework set by the school. – Unit 2: Developing a Marketing Campaign – controlled assessment set by the exam board – Unit 3: Personal and Business Finance – exam set by the exam board – Unit 8: Recruitment and Selection Process – coursework set by the school Students taking the Diploma will do the previous four units and the following four units: – Unit 4: Managing an Event – coursework set by the school (and mini enterprise activity). – Unit 5: International Business – coursework set by the school. – Unit 6: Principles of Management – controlled assessment set by the exam board. – Unit 19: Pitching for a New Business – coursework set by the school. Assessment Extended Certificate – Coursework – Unit 1 and Unit 8 (42%) – Controlled Assessment – Unit 2 and – Exam – Unit 3 – 2 hrs (58%) Diploma – Coursework – Units 1, 4, 5, 8 and 19 (55%) – Controlled Assessments – Unit 2 and Unit 6 and – Exam – Unit 3 – 2 hrs (45%)
