A Level History

Course summary

A Level History will help you hone your analytical skills and strengthen your essay writing abilities. You will receive excellent preparation for university or the world of work. There is an emphasis on wider academic reading, research methods, writing, and effective independent learning. For exam units, you will analyse and investigate key historical events such as Germany from 1871 to 1991 and Modern Britain from 1951 to 2007. For coursework, you will have the choice from a list of topics pre-1871.
