ssessment Blend: The qualification uses a combination of external examinations and internal assignments (coursework) to assess both theoretical knowledge and practical application. External Assessment: Typically accounts for around 58% of the total qualification. Students are allowed resit opportunities for the exams. Internal Assessment: Accounts for the remaining mark, assessed through set assignment briefs that require written reports and practical demonstrations. Grading: The course is graded using the familiar BTEC scale: Pass (P), Merit (M), Distinction (D), and Distinction Star (D*). These grades translate into UCAS points equivalent to A-Level grades.
