Assessment
The course is assessed through 3 units of work. Unit 1: Meeting Nutritional Needs of Specific Groups. This will be assessed through a 90 minute written paper with 15 minutes reading time and an additional practical component. Unit 2: Ensuring Food is Safe to Eat. Assessed through an 8 hour project written under supervised conditions. Unit 3: Current issues in Food Science and Nutrition/Experimenting to Solve Food Production Problems. Assessed through coursework assignment.
