Assessment

30% Practical from: • 1 group devised performance in year 12 which is assessed by your teachers. • 2 scripted performance to an external examiner; 1 as a group and 1 as a monologue or duologue. 70% ‘Written’ from: • A coursework portfolio (this could also be delivered verbally) where you must answer 6 questions totalling no more than 3000 words about the devised work you created. • A 2.5 hour exam at the end of year 13. The exam covers a live theatre evaluation question, 2 Questions on the play Equus (answering one as a performer and one as a designer) and then a final question about how you as a director would put another text on the stage in the style of a chosen practitioner.
