Course summary

The course is centred around three key skills: • Performance - Being the best dancer you can be. Building your technique and artistic style. • Choreography - Developing your creativity and understanding of how to make dances to engage audiences and the examiner. • Critical Engagement (appreciating dance) - Being able to talk and write about professional choreographers, their signature style, dance works and themes. You will be in the dance studio; dancing, learning, teaching and creating. Theory will be delivered through practical and in a more traditional classroom setting. All aspects of the course will be delivered by a team of passionate, expert and professional staff. You will be engaged, challenged and inspired. Did you know that 30,000 people are employed in the Dance sector and only 2,500 of those are performers? So what careers can you pursue?
