Paper 1: Listening, Reading and Writing Written exam • Assessing on Aspects of French-speaking society: current trends, aspects of French-speaking society: current issues • Artistic culture in the French-speaking world • Aspects of political life in the French-speaking world grammar and translation • 2 1/2 hours • 100 marks worth 50% of A Level Paper 2: Writing exam • Assessing film and book or two books • 2 hours • 80 marks worth 20% of A Level Paper 3: Oral exam • Assessing an individual research project and one of the four sub themes from Paper 1 • 21–23 minutes (including 5 minutes preparation time) • 60 marks worth 30% of A Level
