It also prepares students for progression to higher education or relevant IT sectors, including business analytics, digital marketing, and information technology​ F200: Fundamentals of Data Analytics (examination) The unit covers essential skills in handling and visualising data, understanding data storage options, and exploring legal and ethical considerations in data usage. This foundational knowledge prepares students for data-related roles by examining how data can be processed, analysed, and utilised across various platforms. F201: Big Data and Machine Learning (examination) This unit explores machine learning and artificial intelligence, examining how they can process and analyse data for decision-making and societal impacts. Legal and ethical considerations in big data use are also covered, preparing students for roles in data science and analytics.will provide students with a greater understanding of how organisations use information sources both internally and externally and the types of information they will encounter. The skills gained by completing this unit will give them knowledge of the functionality of information and how data is stored and processed by organisations. F202: Spreadsheet Data Modelling In this unit students plan, design, and create effective spreadsheet models to meet specific client needs. Students learn essential skills in data organisation, model creation, testing, and evaluation, gaining practical experience in using spreadsheets for data analysis and decision-making. This unit emphasises project-based learning, reinforcing critical skills in planning, accuracy, and client-focused problem-solving. F204: Data and the Internet of Everything (IoE) This unit covers the Internet of Everything, exploring how connected devices gather and transmit data. The unit covers the ecosystem of IoE, data collection, storage, and transmission methods, as well as security and human-computer interaction considerations. F206: Data and Digital Marketing This unit focuses on the role of data in digital marketing, this unit covers key concepts like targeted marketing, data-driven strategies, and content creation. Students learn to plan and develop digital marketing campaigns, using data to tailor content and measure campaign effectiveness.
