Paper 1 – Love Through the Ages – one paper of 3 hours duration (40% of total A Level) Paper 2 – Texts in Shared Contexts – one paper of 2 hours 30 minutes duration (40% of A Level) Non-examination Assessment – Independent Critical Study: Texts Across Time is assessed by the production of one extended essay: a comparative critical study of two texts one of which must have been written pre-1900 (2500 words) (20% of A Level)
