Triple Science
Course summary
The Triple and Combined Science courses cover the following: Biology: Cell biology, organisation (hierarchy of structure and organ systems), infection and response, bioenergetics (respiration and photosynthesis), homeostasis and response (including the nervous and endocrine systems), inheritance, variation and evolution, ecology. Chemistry: Atomic structure and the periodic table, bonding, structure and the properties of matter, quantitative chemistry, chemical changes, energy changes, the rate and extent of chemical change, organic chemistry, chemical analysis, chemistry of the atmosphere, using resources, key ideas. Physics: Energy, electricity, particle model of matter, atomic structure, forces, waves, magnetism and electromagnetism, key ideas. Triple Scientists study these topics in more depth.
