Course summary

The course covers many areas of mathematics and enables the students to acquire knowledge and skills with confidence, satisfaction and enjoyment. This involves studying Pure Mathematics as a continuation and development of GCSE work and developing skills to model real-life situations mathematically in Mechanics and Probability & Statistics. The course inherently develops the key transferable skills of solving problems from a variety of starting points. We involve our sixth form mathematics students in extra-curricular activities such as the UKMT Senior Mathematics Challenge.
