As part of Plumstead Manor School, the Sixth Form are proud to have been rated ‘Good’ in our latest Ofsted inspection (2023), reflecting our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
Over the past five years, our results have shown a strong upward trend, with year-on-year improvements that highlight the dedication of our students and staff. In 2025, 98% of students achieved A-E grades*, with 71% securing A-C* and 20% reaching A-A* across A Level subjects. We’ve seen outstanding performances in subjects such as Maths, Graphics, Photography, and Textiles, showcasing the breadth of talent within our Sixth Form.
Our vocational students also excelled, with 92% achieving Distinction-Merit grades*, demonstrating the strength of our practical and career-focused pathways.
We offer a flexible curriculum that encourages students to explore both A Levels and Vocational courses, helping them build a well-rounded skill set tailored to their goals. Whether you're aiming for university, an apprenticeship, or entering the workforce, we’ll support you every step of the way.

Our dedicated careers and progression team, alongside a compassionate pastoral care team, ensure that every student receives the guidance they need to make informed decisions about their future. We believe in opening doors—not closing them—and helping students see the full range of opportunities ahead.
Beyond academics, we encourage our Sixth Formers to grow as individuals. As the senior members of our school community, students are expected to lead by example—demonstrating pride, ambition, respect, and togetherness. Leadership opportunities, mentoring roles, and involvement in whole-school initiatives help our students develop confidence, character, and a sense of purpose.
Join Plumstead Manor Sixth Form and become part of a community where you’re supported to succeed, inspired to lead, and prepared to thrive.

FAQs
Yes, we accept international applications. Transition interviews conducted prior to an offer being made can be done online in case you are out of the country. For Level 3 students you will need to have completed iGCSE or final qualifications in your home country that are equivalent to the UK GCSE structure.
We require all students to provide ID before they enrol so we can confirm the information that you are supplying to us. For any student to enrol, we will require the documents in advance.
A passport or short birth certificate, where your legal name and DOB are clearly visible.
Yes, regardless of whether they would be required for entry onto your chosen courses, we require evidence of all of the GCSE’s that you are currently studying, regardless of the grade. If we spot that you have not added all of your GCSEs based on your predictions, we will add this on for you, so hiding a poor prediction is not advisable.
Your referee should be someone that can provide basic education knowledge of you i.e. a teacher, tutor or Head of Year. Please do not put anyone that would simply be acting as a character reference.
They will be asked to confirm the predicted grades that you have entered, whether you are suitable for your courses, as well as information around your attendance, your predicted grades and whether you need any extra support for exams/study etc.
Don’t panic, as soon as an application is submitted, the process of its checking is started. The Sixth Form team may be in touch if any further information is required. If we have all of the information required, once we have also received your referee’s response we will invite you to interview via Teams or over the phone.
Not to worry, please contact Sixthform.info@plumsteadmanor.com and we will reset your interview booking for you so you can pick a new time slot.
At all costs, we would suggest that you do attend the enrolment sessions in August to confirm your place. If this is not possible, we can organise an online meeting via Teams or the phone, please email Sixthform.info@plumsteadmanor.com to book this. Please make sure you have completed the enrolment form online and have access to your results and the internet at the time of the appointment.
Once you have your results, complete the enrolment form online and we will require you to come and attend one of our enrolment days to confirm your choices. All places are offered on a first come first serve basis. Simply completing the enrolment form will not mean you have enrolled, this comes from having a conversation with one of the Post 16 Team on the day.
Please still attend enrolment day, we may still consider you for the course based on other information or be able to offer you other subjects.
All new students will have to be enrolled with us no later than the last school day in September 2026, we will not accept new students after this point.
If it doesn’t affect your entry onto your chosen courses, and fits within your timetable, this would be possible.
If you are an international student we will require a conversion of your grades to the UK system to be able to fully assess your application and for us to be able to enrol you. To do this you will need to apply for a NARIC and this can be done via the link - https://www.enic.org.uk/Qualifications/SOC/Default.aspx Statement of Comparability (enic.org.uk) to apply for this. Applications can take up to 3 months to be returned so need to be completed as soon as possible.
Unfortunately until we have received your NARIC, we will not be able to confirm your GCSE equivalents and so will not be able to enrol you. When applying for the NARIC you can choose between a priority and normal checking service and so this might need to be considered at the time of application. Once you have applied you will need to continue to chase ENIC, this is not something that the school can do. If we close enrolment before your NARIC is returned, we not be able to enrol you.
Before interview we will require the most up to date report, so if you have applied for a place with us with a year 10 report, a new one will need to be submitted prior to the interview. If you can’t attach it to your application, please email it to Sixthform.info@plumsteadmanor.com. We would advise that you contact your Head of Year directly in order for them to provide your report/confirmation of predicted grades also.
