Welcome Message

Welcome to SRS Sixth Form Department

Samuel Rhodes 6th form was opened in September 2013. We provide a 3-year program for young people aged 16-19 with MLD.

Our 6th form vision at Samuel Rhodes is to prepare our pupils for adulthood, with a practical focus on knowledge and understanding of the world of work and community inclusion.

Our curriculum has been designed to develop personal independence and skills that will enable pupils to enter working life upon leaving SRS.

We support pupils to prepare for employment, independent living, community inclusion and good health by taking part in different qualifications and opportunities across the school and beyond.

Our sixth form pupils take part in work experience, which is considered a vital part of the journey to the world of work.

Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
A main aim of Samuel Rhodes School is to provide links to the wider world, encouraging our students to be aware of the exciting range of life experiences available to them. By providing opportunities for students to engage in activities outside the classroom, we hope to encourage them to be able to take advantage of, culturally enriching experiences through their lives. Below is an array of opportunities that will be available to your child. In order to further enhance, engage and motivate the children in learning and broaden their experiences, we strive to expand our offer to include a diverse range of enrichment opportunities. We are committed to the Islington 11by11 pledge in providing and promoting opportunities for children and young people to develop key skills supporting every child to be school ready, life ready and work ready.
