Our Sixth Form is now a dynamic community of around 380 students. At the heart of our philosophy is that each student matters. We care about the progress our girls make and are committed to their success. Our teaching and pastoral staff work tirelessly to create an atmosphere where the girls can perform at their best. Our broad curriculum combines academic rigour with numerous opportunities outside of lessons. There are many opportunities to develop leadership, to volunteer and to enhance skills through a varied programme of enrichment activities. Preparation for the next step in your lifeOur aim is to prepare our students and equip them for the future into the post 18 world: into higher education, employment, a gap year or a foundation course; whatever the right choice for them may be. We have formed extensive links with universities, local businesses and voluntary groups in order to offer our students the chance to enrich not only their experiences but also the lives of others. We regularly engage external speakers to further inspire our students and create a real sense of community locally, nationally and internationally. Our Sixth Form students worked tirelessly to get our World Class School status. We celebrate the achievements of our students and take pride in them. We also take pride in the range of destinations our students leave us to go on to, including courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Nursing and Primary Teaching to name but some.” We pride ourselves on providing a truly inclusive education.Whatever is the personal ambition of students, wherever they may see their future being, wecan help them to achieve their goals and give them advice and guidance along theway to help make their ambitions a reality. Our modern Sixth Form Centre offers bright dedicated space for study, in specially designated areas and in tutor bases. Girls can also relax, share ideas and catch up with friends in the Common Room.I am proud to be the Head of Sixth Form and am committed to value, challenge, nurture and develop the students. Mr. H. Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
Bordesley Green Girls’ School offers an exciting programme of Enrichment Days. These comprise three individual days throughout the academic year, each tailored to our curriculum and extra-curricular provision. Although the school’s main curriculum is, (rightly), academic and challenging, staff are justifiably proud of the vibrant range of extra-curricular activities that the school offers. The Enrichment Days bridge these two vital areas of School life, allowing staff to devise activities that complement and evolve classroom-based work, and harness the dynamism and flexibility of our extra-curricular provision. The Enrichment Days include school-based events, visits to museums and art galleries and sites of historical significance and presentations by guest speakers. All of these activities are motivated by the desire to offer students further opportunities to not only acquire new knowledge and understanding, but also, significantly, to develop skills and habits, which help broaden horizons and strengthen character. A great deal of creativity and industry is evident in the Enrichment Days programme, and staff, both teaching and support, are to be thanked and congratulated for this
