Welcome Message
A message form the Headteacher, Mrs. Code
Once again, at St. Hilda’s College, we are celebrating another set of outstanding A Level and BTEC results. The dedication shown by our students means that so many of them have achieved the highest possible grades. Yet again, we have seen an increase in the number of A*/A grades awarded. The number of students who secured these grades in multiple subjects has also risen. We are delighted too, with the record number of students who secured an A* in all three subjects and the students who achieved maximum marks on their papers. Our BTEC students performed exceptionally well. The average grade was a Distinction, but so many also achieved a Distinction *, again in multiple subjects. For us at St. Hilda’s College, it’s not just about achieving the top grades, it’s about making sure that all students achieve the best possible grades they can to help them go on, to fulfil their ambitions. Every single one of our students worked hard and showed resilience and dedication. With everyone’s amazing A Level and BTEC results, our students have secured places at the most prestigious universities across the UK and on the most competitive and demanding courses, degree apprenticeships and apprenticeships.
Jas, who is going to Cardiff University to study Accounting and Finance said: “St Hilda’s has been the perfect college experience. I was encouraged all the way to achieve my best. I loved my time at St. Hilda’s College and would go back in a heartbeat!”
Our students are going on to be future lawyers, civil engineers, economists, teachers and Psychologists. The Arts, Creative Arts, Humanities and Sciences are all well represented by our students. They have secured university places, employment and apprenticeships in Town Planning, Cyber Security, Quantity Surveying, Performing Arts, History, Classical Studies, English Literature and Marketing. Those interested in pursuing a medical career have also been accepted in top universities across the country in a variety of disciplines. The range of apprenticeships and university subject choices is possible because of the number of courses we have on offer at St. Hilda’s College. It means that we can support the ambitions of all students. The outstanding success of our students is a testament not only to their commitment but also to the unwavering support and expertise of our wonderful teachers. I want to thank all of them for inspiring and guiding our students every step of the way.
Eva, who is going to Newcastle to study Law, she said “Throughout my time at St. Hilda’s College I have felt supported and valued as a person which has pushed me to achieve my goals and my dream of pursuing a law degree. The variety of opportunities made available to me by the college allowed me to grow in confidence and independence and I feel fully prepared for my next steps. ”
Finally, to our fantastic Year 13 students, I know so many of you are now heading to the most prestigious universities or have secured amazing apprenticeships with some of the county’s biggest companies. Whatever you do next, I know you will continue to achieve great things. You were a phenomenal year group and I am so proud of each and every one of you. As you take your next steps, remember, with determination and belief, you have proved, as we say at St. Hilda’s College, that Anything Is Possible!

I attended St Hilda’s from 2013-2020. What I liked most about the school was the friendly environment as well as all the help and support given to students when needed. They also offer lots of opportunities for everyone that helps when applying to jobs and the UCAS application. I chose to stay on at St Hildas College as I was already familiar with the atmosphere and teaching styles, allowing me to continue in a comfortable environment. I studied Maths, Chemistry, Religious Studies and BTEC sport and I am now currently in my first year at London School of Economics studying Accounting and Finance.

I was a pupil at St Hilda’s High School from 2013-2020. After receiving my GCSE results I decided to remain at Sixth Form to complete my A Levels due to the great support I received from teaching staff at the school. In my experience my teachers went above and beyond what I expected to ensure that I would be successful, arranging work experience specific to my chosen degree subject as well as a foreign French exchange to Paris which I believed helped me greatly when applying to university. I was also given the opportunity to complete an EPQ which eased the transition from Sixth Form to University as I learnt new skills such as referencing and independent research. I studied A Level French, Spanish and History as well as EPQ. I am currently studying French and Spanish at Durham University.

I attended St Hilda’s from 2013-2020. During this time I was given many amazing opportunities to help with competitive university applications, from having help organising work experience in one of Liverpool’s best hospitals to representing the UK in the international Model European Parliament in Malta. I chose to stay on at the College to study A-level History, Biology and RE because I knew I would be pushed to the best of my ability and supported by my teachers who cared not just about academics but my personal well being. I am currently studying Medicine and Surgery at Newcastle University.
