September 2021
Employed
Naomi studied Maths, Sociology, and Business Studies in our Sixth Form and moved on to study towards a career as a Chartered Management Accountant at Manchester Metropolitan University. After university, she plans to complete her professional exams, with the goal of securing a role with one of the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms. Her advice is this: “Things not going to plan can feel daunting. Whether it’s failing an exam, receiving a university rejection, or realising that the subject or career path you thought was right for you isn’t quite what you expected — it’s all part of the journey.” She adds; “Success isn’t linear. There will be setbacks, but they don’t define you. What matters most is staying positive, being resilient, and believing in yourself. You’re capable of much more than you think — so keep going, keep growing, and always keep raising the bar.
