HomeSchool Profile

Welcome to Mary Hare School

We have a large and vibrant Sixth Form offering a wide range of A Levels, BTECs and vocational courses.

Students at Sixth Form are surrounded by a big group of deaf peers and can enjoy a great social life. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in school life including working at our youth club, Coles Diner, gaining Life Skills and lifeguard qualifications. There is also a network of support through our Transition Programme, where students can develop their independence as they take their next steps into further education or employment.

Apprenticeship

Getting this job gave me a real sense of purpose and made me realise that if you do what you love, you'll be better at it than a job you don't. For those of you who haven't found your dream yet, don't stop looking. It might not be easy but when you find it, it will be worth it.

Mary Hare helped me build confidence and independence. Art and Design was always my strength and I developed my creativity at school which helped me secure my wonderful dream job at Sass and Belle. Learn as much as you can and build skills. Then you will find your path. Never give up and always believe in yourself. Your dream will come true.
