Extra-curricular
At our school, outdoor play is an essential part of learning and development, especially for our primary students. Playtimes are thoughtfully structured to support sensory needs, social interaction, and physical development in a safe and stimulating environment.
All students at Beverley school in Key stage 5 / pathway 14-19 have the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award one morning per week. The award is broken down into 3 sections, during lesson time, Physical, Skill and Volunteering.
Forest School is a valued part of our curriculum, offering children regular opportunities to explore, learn, and grow in a natural outdoor setting. Forest School provides a dynamic, hands-on approach to delivering the science curriculum in a real-world context.
Students at Beverley School benefit from working with several external organisations that link with areas including sports and exercise, outdoor and adventurous activities and conservation. Links with sport and exercise include rock climbing at either Rock Antics or Macmillan School, (as well as our new bouldering wall in Beverley School Sports Hall).
