Don’t ‘Trouble Trouble’ Focus on Your Best Self Worrying about the future is natural, but George believes what matters most is how you show up today. Be your best now, and the rest will follow. By your mid-twenties, you’ll likely be on equal footing with others, ready to move forward with confidence.

Gillingham School to the British Army

Not long ago, George walked the same corridors as you. After leaving Gillingham School at 16, he joined the British Army, became a Rifleman at 17, and served two tours in Afghanistan. Driven to do more, he passed the Army Officer Selection Board, trained at Sandhurst, and earned the Sovereign’s Medal. His career has since included peacekeeping missions and work with the Ministry of Defence. Today, George is a husband, father, Parish Councillor, and soon-to-be graduate of the University of Reading, a reminder that ambition and resilience can take you anywhere. George learned in the Army that leadership is about serving others, whether on the field, in class, or in your community, lead with kindness, respect, and approachability.
