I really want to welcome you to St Catherine’s - we describe ourselves as a small charity with a BIG heart, where we offer a warm family-focussed environment for your child. We’d like you to feel very much at home here too. In our 40 years of supporting students with speech, language and communications needs, we’ve learnt a great deal about these young people and their needs, and about their parents and families. More often than not, students have struggled with mainstream education, where they often feel they just don’t fit in. Parents may have had to fight for the right for their child to find the very best environment to thrive and are often exhausted by the process.We know – because parents have told us time and time again – that discovering St Catherine’s is often an ‘at last!’ moment. Finally, there is somewhere that understands their child, and a team that believes in their child’s ability to succeed. At St Catherine’s, we believe every child has unique talents and skills – and it’s our job to help them discover the very best of who they are and what they are capable of.
