Find your future at ag6!
We offer you a learning experience in a close community which supports our students academically and personally. We provide a unique programme of advice, support and guidance to help you achieve your potential.
ag6 provides an exciting post-16 learning experience, offering a varied curriculum in a stimulating environment that provides students of all academic abilities with a personalised and individual study programme. This can include the Pathway Programme for those students who are not quite ready to move to Level 3 study, a full range of A-Level and Applied courses or a blend of the two.
We encourage activities beyond the classroom offering a range of unique and exciting enrichment courses to enhance the educational experience of our students. We encourage our students to show initiative and develop leadership skills through involvement in our Student Union.
Our purpose built Sixth Form Centre provides the environment to encourage an independent approach to learning, offering students excellent study facilities in a caring environment. ag6 is the stepping stone to higher education, further training or employment.
Making the move from secondary school to sixth form is an exciting one, although it can also be quite daunting and confusing. At ag6 we understand this and endeavour to provide support throughout the transition process offering taster days, transition days, induction events and parent meetings. Year on year we are welcoming more students from other schools into the ag6 family and you are very welcome to join in all these events too.
If you have any questions about ag6 or would like further information please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to you starting your future with us.

Enrichment Activities
Show all activitiesOur Students’ Union is run by the students for the students. The Student Union is a group of dedicated students from Year 12 and 13 who work together to make ag6 an enjoyable and social experience for all.
All ag6 students are encouraged to get involved in our Extended Project Qualification. This can be on any subject of a student’s interest. It can take any format from a written project to a performance or piece of artwork and encourages independent learning. Universities particularly value this qualification.
The aim of this programme is to offer those of you who might be considering a career in teaching (at Primary or Secondary) the opportunity to engage in realistic, hands-on observation/discussion of the various areas that make-up a teacher’s daily responsibilities. We are very proud of the fact that several former participants are now practicing teachers in either the Secondary or Primary phases.
