Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
At Mayfield School, we are proud to offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities designed to support the whole child—emotionally, physically, socially, and developmentally. These programs go beyond the traditional curriculum to create inclusive, engaging, and meaningful experiences tailored to the individual needs of our pupils.

Physical & Sensory Development

At Mayfield, we have specialist programs to support students with physical disabilities, sensory processing differences, and motor coordination needs. Whether through structured mobility training, therapeutic movement, or adapted sensory environments, each initiative is tailored to meet the unique needs of our learners.

Desensitisation Club

At Mayfield School, many of our pupils experience anxiety or discomfort in certain social situations. To address these challenges, we have created the Desensitisation Club, a supportive space designed to help students gradually overcome their fears in a relaxed and enjoyable way. Using our immersive theatre as a key tool, we work with students to tackle everyday experiences that may cause anxiety, such as having their hair cut or interacting with medical professionals.

Outdoor & Experiential Learning

At Mayfield, we offer programs that place exploration, physical activity, and personal development at the heart of the learning journey. Whether it’s developing resilience in the great outdoors, gaining independence through cycling, or setting personal goals through national awards, these experiences help our students grow in confidence, creativity, and character.
