Welcome to Ashmount School

As Headteacher at Ashmount School, I am delighted to welcome you to our school.Ashmount is a special school for pupils between the ages of 4 and 19 with a range of special educational needs. We moved to our new build on the Charnwood College campus in Loughborough in January 2014, where our pupils have access to a wide range of specialist facilities, including a heated swimming pool, multi-sensory and soft play rooms, dedicated art, music and cookery rooms and extensive playground facilities. Our highly committed staff, governors and parents and carers work together to ensure our pupils achieve the very best possible learning outcomes. The success of our approach is evident through the high levels of personal progress our pupils achieve each year. Our pupils are provided with access to the full curriculum of subjects that would be available to them in mainstream settings, as well as a wide range of extra curricular activities promoting the development of their independence and personal and social skills. I hope you enjoy exploring our website and learning more about our school. Best wishes,David DeaconHeadteacher
