Welcome to Haydon Bridge High School

At Haydon Bridge we are delighted to offer a wide range of courses and offer personalised pathways for each sixth form student. We offer both academic and vocational pathways so that each student is able to choose the most appropriate route through sixth form and ensure that they are fully prepared for Higher Education of the world of work. All subjects are taught by specialists in small groups so that learning is tailored to the needs of the individual.

To support the academic curriculum there is planned careers and pastoral support and a range of enrichment opportunities throughout sixth form. From the initial transition from Year 11 into Sixth Form at Haydon Bridge, students receive personalised information that supports their chosen careers pathway, opportunities for work experience and meaningful engagement with both employers and Higher Education providers.

Enrichment is a vital part of Sixth Form life. In order to compete for jobs and university places after Sixth Form, students need to demonstrate that they have a range of skills as well as an excellent academic record. This enrichment program gives students a diverse range of choices that will help them to make informed decisions about their lives and give them a sense of belonging.
