Welcome to Manor Green College
I am delighted and proud to be able to introduce myself as the Head Teacher at Manor Green College. A warm welcome to the College’s Website and I hope that you find the information here useful. If there is anything else that you would like to know or discuss, then please do not hesitate to phone or e-mail us.Manor Green College is a very special school for children and young adults between the ages of 11 and 19, who have a wide range of learning difficulties and other complex needs. We have a team of over 100 staff here and I can confidently say that we are all privileged to be able to come into college during the week and work with them. We currently have 224 pupils on roll. Our core purpose is to meet the individual needs of every one of our students. We work to help them grow and achieve to their full potential and to prepare them to confidently and successfully move out into the community when they finally have to leave us.We aim to not only give them a fantastic educational experience but equally, to challenge them to achieve as much as they possibly can. All of our students have strengths and talents which must be nurtured and developed and difficulties which must be addressed and overcome. If you are reading this you may be considering either the difficult decision of where best to place your child in year 7, or possibly a transfer to the College at a later age. Alternatively you may be thinking about applying to work at the College. I would recommend that you visit us and experience our hard working and caring community first hand.Working in partnership with parents is crucial if we are to ensure all of our pupils feel safe, happy, valued and achieve their full potential. I look forward to meeting you all in the near future at school events, assemblies and social occasions.Best Wishes Tom Smith
