Welcome Message

Welcome to St Dominic's Sixth Form College, a 16 to 18 co-educational Catholic College, situated in Harrow on the Hill, North West London.  We specialise in delivering A Levels, offering 26 different subjects, suited to the needs of all our learners.

St Dominic’s has provided post 16 education in Harrow since 1979 and over that period of time has developed specialist teaching and support that is recognised for its excellence in the local area and beyond.  In our last inspection, we were judged to be an ‘outstanding’ College and have been awarded many national accolades over recent years.  The campus gives us a university feel and allows students to concentrate on their studies and to make the very best use of our superb academic facilities.

We are a confidently Catholic institution, clear in our beliefs and values and the importance of Jesus Christ in our daily lives.  We are also welcoming of other faith groups and believe that our diverse faith community is enriching and makes us the very distinctive community that we are.  We give priority to students from our partner school, The Sacred Heart Language College.  We then offer places to Catholics students and to other faith groups who wish to pursue their sixth form education in a Christian context and who will support the ethos and mission of our College.

Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
ENRICHMENT Enrichment is very popular at St. Dominic’s and gives students an opportunity to try activities in something they are interested in. The enrichment program runs for 14 weeks in Year 1 on Wednesday afternoons, and students have the opportunity to try up to two activities over the 14 week period. Enrichments vary massively from being part of ‘Rock Band’, participating in ‘Couch to 5K’, playing Lacrosse, practising Calligraphy, undertaking public speaking or even being part of the archaeology club, to name a few. Enrichment not only gives students the chance to learn new skills but offers an opportunity to meet fellow students and feel a part of the St. Dominic’s community. SPORT Sport at St Dominic’s has grown exponentially in recent years with six teams entered into the Association of College’s league, in which they compete on Wednesday afternoons. The teams have consisted of football (women’s and men’s), basketball, netball, volleyball (mixed) and badminton (mixed). We have travelled all over London to compete in the league and played some tough opposition, however, we are extremely pleased and proud to have finished strongly in all sports, showing our strength as a College. Our students are instructed by high level coaches after College and have strength and conditioning sessions to ensure they are ready for competitive play. In addition to this, St. Dominic’s runs intra-college competitions in various sports, hosts lunchtime sports sessions that you can participate in as well as enrichment activities such as archery, for students to try. The College also has a newly refurbish gym where students can join, using both the cardiovascular and strength training equipment available and receive training advice from our expert strength and conditioning coach.
