100% take the plunge! This is only the start of the journey that could be so great! The courses are challenging at times, but you develop skills of resilience and persistence that you can transfer into the workplace. If you put all your effort into it, you learn a lot of skills that will help you mature and develop into a really successful individual, both personally and professionally.

During my time learning at Macclesfield College, I graduated the apprenticeship scheme and successfully achieved a permanent role as a Product Engineering Technician, where I could relate my college learning into my full time role. After completing my education at Macclesfield College, due to my learning aptitude, I was able to attend Salford University. Where I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Control and Automation. Once I graduated, I really knuckled down and work and made sure every project I worked on was a success, leading to my recent career succession into the Product Engineering Manager, where I am the first female engineering manager in Siemens Congleton. The role is leading the team I have always worked in, so I know the role really well and I am now coaching my team to they can achieve their own personal goals and aspirations, while ensuring work targets are met.

Salesman

The company I work for has used Macclesfield successfully in the past with numerous apprentices who have gone on to succeed and grow within the company so I knew Macclesfield College was going to be the right step for me. I have now moved over from my administration over to sales, selling on average over 100 cars a month generating the company more than £500k in revenue per year. The next step for me is to work my way into a sales manager role which would entail bringing on new salesman and tutoring them in to becoming the next person to sell 100+ a year.

BA Social Work

I studied on the health and social care course level 3, and taking part in a placement allowed me to put into practice my learning and knowledge from the class room. The tutors at Macclesfield College gave me lots of support to reach my high grades in my assignments, following this I achieved distinctions in all my assignments resulting is leaving college with the results I aimed high for, triple distinction star. I would recommend Macclesfield College to future students as they are very supportive and pushed me to do my best and reach my targets and even further. Macclesfield College allowed me to achieve the highest grades and enabled me to study at university and put me on my path to be a social worker.
