Welcome to Reaseheath College
Welcome to the Reaseheath College website. We are delighted you are interested in one of the best specialist and technical land-based colleges in the country.
Our mission is to be Industry Focused and Career Ready. We work extensively with employers to ensure our courses are informed by and run in partnership with them to maximise successful transition into work as well as working to ensure our learners have the right attitudes, attributes and resilience to flourish in the workplace.
Our BeMore philosophy and Career Ready Passport help prepare students for life! They will become well rounded individuals whilst gaining vital skills for work, for study at higher education, for their health and wellbeing, for contributing to society, and for their chosen career.
We are proud of the exceptional number of students who progress into employment, further training or onto degrees. This is due to the passion and expertise of our staff and the hard work and commitment of our students.
We have continued to invest in our campus with an emphasis on both providing an all -round quality experience and ensuring we have Industry Focused facilities and equipment which develop the transferable skills and familiarity with the latest innovations.
Reaseheath is not about ‘all work and no play’. Students are encouraged to join in the many recreational and social elements of college life which are equally key to their success and enjoyment. We hope all students will remember their Reaseheath Experience as one of the best times of their life! Our student life section on this website gives a good over view of how students create those lifelong memories and foster those life long friendships.
I look forward to welcoming you to our college soon.

September 2011
Employed
Conor, 23, graduated from his Foundation Degree in Adventure Sports Management in 2014 having previously completed his Level 3 Certificate in Sport with us. Preparing for industry during his degree Conor spent a month on a work placement at Arthog, a North Wales outdoor centre, where he had the opportunity to assist instructors with all outdoor activities. This was a great opportunity to put the theory learnt in the classroom into practice, giving him the skills and experience to excel in his role at Plas Dol y Moch.
Owen Davies
September 2017
Employed
Ambitious young farmer Owen Davies started his career in Australia after completing his Foundation Degree at Reaseheath. This international job opportunity came about for Owen whilst he was still a student after impressing our then farm manager Mark Yearsley. Mark, who has since moved to a senior dairy operations management post in Australia, approached Owen when looking for an ambitious dairy herd manager – and he jumped at the chance. Owen, 23, is now working at an impressive 10,000 acre dairy farm two hours drive north of Melbourne which currently has 2,000 high yielding cows but plans to expand to 4,000 cows in the not too distant future. He is spending his first year learning all the aspects of the business, including the care and commercial output of the dairy herd, the breeding and production of youngstock.
Katie Adams
September 2011
Employed
BSc (Hons) Wildlife Conservation and Ecology graduate Katie Adams is set on a highly specialised career helping to conserve endangered species. Widely travelled and with previous experience of working in animal rehabilitation in South Africa and in the UK, Katie feels that achieving her Reaseheath degree has very much helped to crystallise her career options. Keen to focus her career on the conservation of big cats and habitats, Katie, 29, returned to South Africa in January on 6 month training scheme to gain her Field Guide Association of South Africa (FGASA) level 1 field guide licence. She completed the programme in June and has gone on to achieve a full-time field guide position working for the volunteer organisation African Impact.
