Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
The College provides an exciting enrichment programme, which is additional to your academic studies. Whether you want to further explore a current interest or are keen to challenge yourself with a new activity, there is something for everyone at Peter Symonds. This is a compulsory part of your college timetable and we are sure every student will find something they will enjoy.

Freshers’ Fair
Our Enrichment Programme starts even before you join the College. On Welcome Day in June we hold the Freshers’ Fair in the Mercers Sports Hall. This is a great opportunity to find out about the range of enrichment activities we offer, speak to students who are promoting their activities and find out how you can become involved
Music at Peter Symonds
Symonds is the place for Musical Ambition! We are very proud of our students, so many of whom go on to study Music at competitive universities, conservatoires and academies. Over the last few years these have included the Royal Academy and the Royal College in London, with several scholarships, Oxford, Manchester, Durham and Bristol universities, BIMM and the University of West London for digital music production and jazz saxophone at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Sport Teams
Being part of a sports team is a key part of life at Peter Symonds for many students. As a college, we have a long sporting history and regularly achieve success in league, cup, county and national competitions. We regularly make up the majority of the South East Team at the AoC National Championships, making us one of the most successful sporting colleges in the country.
Student Union
Time at sixth form college can go pretty quickly, it all starts off fine, but before you know it you're already an upper sixth student and you wonder what happened to your first year at Symonds. When it comes down to it, most students at Symonds want the same thing, to work hard, have fun and have some memorable experiences along the way.
