Welcome to Ark Burlington Danes Sixth Form: the most exciting stage of your education so far. In choosing your 6th form pathway, you begin to specialise in the subjects that will shape your future and enable you to embark on the career of your choice. BDA Sixth Form is a high-performing institution which aims to give all students the opportunity to continue to higher education, whatever their background. Whilst benefitting from the resources and facilities of the Burlington Danes Academy site, we maintain a separate culture and identity, built around personalised learning, high achievement and preparation for university. Our students enjoy their studies and seize every opportunity to extend their knowledge through work placements, university courses and other experiences around London.Our mission is to prepare students for university and in recent years we’ve seen BDA pupils progress to some of the UK’s most prestigious institutions, including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, UCL, Bristol and Durham. Other students have gone on to achieve full scholarships with some of the highest ranking universities in the world, including Harvard and MIT. Students join us from schools all over London, attracted by our tutorial and seminar style teaching from teachers who are passionate experts. Our purpose-built Performing Arts and Sixth Form Centre provides a state of the art learning space exclusively for sixth formers. Substantial investment in ICT also means that students enjoy free access to PCs and Apple Macs. We offer a range of traditional A level courses that enable students to compete for places at top universities. We also offer a BTEC Extended Diploma in Sports as well as professional pathways in Business Studies and ICT. Students who study ARK’s Business Professional Pathway are 10 times more likely to go to a Russell Group or top third university than the national average. Professional Pathways students have exclusive opportunities to engage with top companies who deliver sessions, workshops and events throughout the course.
