Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
A key part of your development as a student of the Sixth Form is the opportunity to get involved in activities outside of the classroom. Whether through learning a new language, engaging in social action within the community or becoming an entrepreneur.

Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award
Taking part in a DofE journey will give you skills, confidence, and something to talk about when you apply for college, university or a job. Beyond your academic achievements, universities want to see evidence of “soft skills” that you have developed through extra-curricular activities, such as communication, commitment, leadership and teamwork. Your DofE Award is a fantastic way to demonstrate and evidence these skills in practice.
Social Action Projects
Young people don’t have to try and save the world on their own. Taking small positive actions to improve your home, school or local community can all make a big difference. Put simply - A social action project is about people coming together to help improve their lives and solve problems that are facing their communities.
Young Enterprise
Students have four weeks to research, create, plan and run their own business with a £10 pledge. A highly interactive programme offering first-hand experience to enhance confidence and enterprising mindsets.
British Sign Language
An opportunity to gain a basic understanding of British Sign Language and to develop your non-verbal communication skills.
Farchynys Residential
A residential team building trip to Farchynys in Wales. Located on the banks of the estuary near Barmouth, this is the perfect opportunity to build leadership, resilience and problem solving skills.
