Extra-curricular

We also have a bespoke enrichment programme which is designed to help you develop academic, social and personal skills that compliment your studies and add breadth and depth to your learning experience. We provide a very supportive environment helping you to develop into young adults who can effectively meet the challenges of life beyond school.
Community Sports Leaders Award (CSLA)

In Sports Leadership students will learn and demonstrate important life skills such as effective communication and organisation whilst learning to lead basic physical activities to younger people, their peers, older generations and within the community. The courses involve both guided & peer-to-peer learning and supervised leadership to ensure that learners have all the skills they need to lead basic physical activities to other people. This qualification gives additional UCAS points.

Charity Work

The Sixth Form has had an outstanding term of charitable efforts, demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the community. A highlight of their fundraising activities was their support for Greenwich and Bexley Hospice, where they successfully raised £1,200. This impressive amount was achieved through a highly successful ‘Colour Run’, which brought students and staff together in a fun and energetic event. The occasion was made even more special with inspiring words from The Mayor and Mayoress of Bexley, who addressed participants before and after the run, emphasizing the importance of community support and charitable giving.

Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)

The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a standalone qualification designed to extend and develop your skills in independent research and project management. The EPQ is awarded UCAS points worth half an A-level and is recognised by universities and employers; some universities make alternative offers to students undertaking an EPQ. The EPQ requires students to carry out research on a topic that they have chosen and is not covered by their other qualifications. They then use this research to produce a written report and, in the case of practical projects, an artefact or a production. A student can take inspiration from something studied in class or something completely unrelated to their studies.
