Extra-curricular

Throughout the academic year we believe it is vital to complement studies with opportunities to develop holistically as a young adult. This not only develops new skills but also gives a range of extra-curricular experiences that can be used in a CV or on a UCAS reference. All of these opportunities develop a sense of camaraderie between the students and gives them a break from their studies. We encourage all to get involved in as many events as possible.
Charity

Each year the Sixth Form supports at least one charity. At the start of the academic year students are invited to propose a charity to be supported and all monies raised from fund raising events are then given to this charity.

Mentoring

Lower School Mentoring Opportunities to mentor a lower school student are regularly promoted in the Sixth Form. Students can sign up to provide subject support within the classroom or perhaps help a student who does not have English as their first language. Both students benefit from the arrangement with the sixth form student developing their communication skills, learning how to explain and consolidating their own subject knowledge. The experience will also enhance university and job applications.

Special Events

Throughout the year we put on special events in order to build a Sixth Form community and ethos. This is an important part of the Sixth Form and one which staff and students greatly enjoy.
