Barts and London School of Medicine and Dentistry

Job Title

Medical

I went to Harris Academy Beckenham, where I worked hard and came out with two A*s, an A, and a B. From a young age, I was fascinated by science and problem-solving, so medicine always felt like the right path for me and my teachers at Beckenham aided me down this path. Now, I’m in my fourth year studying Medicine at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. It’s been a tough but incredibly rewarding journey, and I love learning how to make a real difference in people’s lives. After finishing at Harris Beckenham, I went straight into medical school. Alongside my studies, I’ve been working as a Mathematics and Science Tutor with LEC Education, helping students prepare for their exams, including GCSEs. Teaching has been a great experience. Every student learns differently, so I’ve had to adapt my approach to suit their needs. It’s been amazing to see them grow in confidence and achieve their goals. For me, medicine is all about helping people. The idea that something I do could change or even save someone’s life is what keeps me going. It’s inspiring to see how science and healthcare come together to improve people’s well-being. At the same time, tutoring has been an unexpected passion. Watching students overcome challenges and succeed makes all the effort worth it. Seeing that lightbulb moment when something finally clicks is one of the best feelings.

Job Title

Designer and Group Lead Lecturer Teaching Fashion Retail and Business

I grew up with a deep love for fashion and art, always drawn to the way creativity can tell a story and bring people together. I studied at Harris Academy Battersea before heading to Ravensbourne University London, where I focused on Fashion Promotion and Creative Design. Ever since, I’ve been blending my passion for design, branding, and education in everything I do. After leaving Harris Beckenham, I threw myself into the creative world. I launched my own fashion and art brand, designing womenswear that reflects individuality and self-expression. At the same time, I started working as a sessional lecturer at Ravensbourne University, where I help young and mature creatives navigate their journey into the industry. Running fashion and art workshops for students has been an incredible experience, especially seeing them gain confidence in their ideas. I’ve also worked as a brand ambassador, creating exclusive experiences at major events like The O2 Arena and Brixton Academy. On top of that, I’ve done social media marketing for brands like Alpha Omega, researching trends and crafting content that connects with audiences. Every opportunity has helped me grow, and I love that I get to work across different areas of the industry.
