Welcome to Dallam School

It’s great that you are considering continuing your education at Dallam Sixth Form. Life in the Sixth Form provides an exciting and hugely rewarding experience. It prepares you for the rigours of A-level and/or BTEC study and equips you with the life skills you’ll need to flourish in your chosen career path – whatever that may be. Our two-year programme bridges the relatively ordered style of GCSE courses and the much freer life at university and beyond. Dallam Sixth Form is also a time to develop your personal talents and interests, your independent approach to study, and your leadership and teamwork skills so that you are ready to take on life beyond the school gates. Dallam Sixth Form is committed to providing the highest quality of education and offering opportunities to students with the ambition, motivation and desire to live life fully.  Sixth form study can be exacting and challenging, and throughout the two years, we provide support, care, guidance, and an ‘open door’ policy to ensure that while you become more independent learners, you still know where to turn if you need help. Year-on-year, our Sixth Form students achieve excellent examination results , leading them to some of the world’s most prestigious universities and courses or to the most highly sought-after jobs and school-leaver programmes. Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
We take a holistic approach to learning that equips students with qualifications and skills for work and life to help them succeed in whatever post-18 pathway they choose. Future employers and universities regard this enrichment highly.

Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
The EPQ introduces students to independent project management, highly regarded by universities and employers. Students develop planning, research, critical thinking, analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and presentation skills through this course. The qualification is equivalent to an AS Level.
Sports Leadership Qualification
This course gives students the opportunity to learn and demonstrate important life skills such as effective communication and organisation while learning to coach and deliver physical activities to all ages within our local community.
Volunteering Award
Getting involved in volunteering can really boost your confidence. It’s a chance to step out of your comfort zone, try something different, and feel accomplished.
