“My years at St Augustine's is a time I remember with great happiness, creativity, and respect. I have pursued a career in Climate and Environmental Science and Policy. I received an MSc from King's College London and went on to lecture at Bournemouth University on the Green Economy MSc. I am currently completing my PhD at the Centre for Environmental Policy, Imperial College London, in Wildfire Science and Conservation Biology. My years at St Augustine's taught me to be confident, caring, and strong, providing me with the skills to embark on independent research trips around the world - and always make a friend!”

I had a great time at St. Augustine’s, and feel lucky to have been in a school where the things I was excited and passionate about were nurtured and given room to grow. In particular, the exceptional music department under the guidance of the dedicated and talented teachers is undoubtedly one of the reasons I’m now doing music full-time. I’ve been fortunate to work on lots of exciting projects, including being on the music team for Doctor Who, working with Oscar-nominated composers Ben Salisbury and Geoff Barrow on Men and Archive 81, composing music for adverts and international music labels, and of course - writing the St. Augustine’s school song, Together. The sixth form at St. Augustine’s helped me to invest in the things I was great at, and enabled me to believe that I could do the type of work I wanted to pursue.

Attending St Augustine’s Sixth form was a formational experience for me. I studied English, Art, Psychology and Media Studies and made lasting friendships. The school environment was warm and supportive, but also encouraged a sense of independence - setting me up brilliantly for both uni, and life in London. Benjamin Canares is currently Fashion Editor at The Financial Times HTSI magazine. Since primary school, he has been devoted to fashion and magazines. Ben has worked with many of the world leaders in the fashion industry, travelling the world in the process. Most recently, he styled Lily Allen for the cover of HTSI magazine
