Job Title | Project Controller/Manager |
What I'm doing now I have worked a wide range of IT based jobs, in multiple countries (Australia, USA) for primarily defence organisations. I currently work as an established Project Controller/Manager. What piece of advice would I give to my 16-year-old self? Believe in yourself. Don't be afraid to ask questions, even if people may laugh or try to shut you down. You are as strong as you believe yourself to be. Don't be afraid to stray from the path of 'normality'. You find the most wonderful experiences are gained from venturing astray.

Job Title | Environmental Consultant |
What I'm doing now I studied Marine Environmental Science at University of Portsmouth, gaining a first-class honours degree. I'm now an Environmental Consultant assessing and mitigating environmental impacts associated with pollution incidents and contaminated land. What piece of advice would I give to my 16-year-old self? There is no right time or right way to do life. I am autistic and struggled a lot with understanding who I was and why I felt so different from my peers at school. Everybody is different and everybody goes at at their own speed, so don't worry if you currently have no clue where you are headed! You will soon find your place in the world and like-minded people to enjoy it with. Focus on what you're passionate about and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone!
