Welcome to Kingsbury Green Academy

Welcome to Kingsbury Green Academy Sixth Form

I am delighted that you are considering joining Kingsbury Green Academy Sixth Form. We are justifiably proud of our school’s reputation for academic success, alongside our reputation for the excellent relationships we build with our students, parents and Alumni.

Offering 30 subjects at Level 3, in both A Levels and Vocational courses, you will be supported academically by a very strong, committed and experienced team of professionals, who will guide and support you via a flexible, tailor made provision, smaller class sizes and increased contact time. In addition, you will be supported on your learning journey with us by an excellent pastoral team, who will do their utmost to ensure that you reach your full potential.

Life in our Sixth Form seeks to provide you with an opportunity for personal development, enrichment and a wealth of varied extracurricular activities, including Duke of Edinburgh Gold, sport, music, drama, leading your own KGA+ club or fundraising for charity. We also offer the opportunity for you to undertake a Work Experience placement, as well as curriculum enhancement placements. We have a strong Student Leadership Team offering many additional opportunities, including being part of the interview process for new staff and representing your peers at meetings with the Director of Post 16.

96% of our Sixth Form students got their first choice destination (national average 82%)

Whether your ambition is to attend university, seek employment, undertake further training or apply for an apprenticeship, we respect everyone as an individual with their own talents and goals to be celebrated and realised. We are renowned for our personalised care and compassion that will ensure you succeed due to a relevant and engaging tutor programme, daily meetings with tutors and regular monitoring of academic performance.

I look forward to welcoming you to our Open Evening, where you will be able to meet the Sixth Form Team, Curriculum Leaders and current students.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions and I look forward to meeting you in due course.

Ruth Wood,

Director of Post 16
