Welcome to Beaumont Hill Academy
In our Carlbury Centre, our young adults access personalised programmes of study that focus on the challenges they may face as they transition into adult life.Learning takes place in a range of environments. In our dedicated post-16 Carlbury Centre, we move from school-based activities to community projects. The centre is a mix of large, open teaching spaces and smaller classrooms, with catering area, IT suite and outdoor horticultural area, complete with a greenhouse.Pupils are taught in groups according to their ability, curriculum need and social group. We expect our young adults to take responsibility for their own learning and they work towards the completion of modules and units, with the support of our teaching staff. We provide ASDAN courses, including Towards Independence and Life Skills Challenge, with modules focusing on communication, numeracy, daily living skills and the world of work.
