Welcome to Teddington School

Welcome to Sixth FormI am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our website as the Head of Sixth Form at Teddington. It is a privilege to guide our students through this pivotal stage in their educational journey, preparing them for higher education and future careers. At Teddington Sixth Form, we take pride in providing an excellent education, and our commitment to fostering future-ready individuals is reflected in our high‑quality teaching delivered by our most experienced teachers. We believe in equipping our students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and outcomes essential for success in their chosen pathways. We are proud to share that we are currently oversubscribed, a testament to the outstanding results our students achieve. In 2024, nearly one‑third of our students attained A*‑A grades, with over half achieving A*‑B grades. Each year, we support students in securing places at top universities both in the UK and abroad. As the Head of Sixth Form, my focus is on creating a comprehensive educational environment that not only promotes academic excellence but also nurtures personal development. This is achieved through our Personal Development and Enrichment curriculum, which includes our comprehensive enrichment offer called "Three Plus 1." This programme ensures that all students partake in opportunities that make them well‑rounded, provides a qualification, and prepares them to be future‑ready. Additionally, we welcome visitors from a wide range of organisations and industries, further enhancing our students' learning experiences. We strive to cultivate a sense of inclusivity and belonging, ensuring every student is a valued member of our community and a responsible global citizen. Through our PSHCE provision and supportive pastoral team, we aim to shape healthy learners who are well‑prepared to face the challenges of the future. We understand the importance of providing a well‑rounded education that prioritises both the physical and emotional well‑being of our students."Ms H PleavinHead of Sixth Form

Enrichment Activities

At Teddington Sixth Form, learning extends beyond the classroom, nurturing students into well‑rounded adults. We run a 3+1 model to support enrichment where students study three A‑Levels and participate in an additional activity. Enrichment activities, held weekly for Years 12 and 13, offer a diverse range of opportunities tailored to specific career or higher education pathways. These experiences equip students with the cultural capital to succeed in the outside world.
