HomeSchool Profile

Welcome to The Kimberley School

Students develop independence in a nurturing environment. We pride ourselves on the individual attention and close relationships students have with tutors and teachers. Our class sizes are deliberately kept small to allow for each student to receive the individual attention they need. Our Common Room offers a silent study space with access to computers during lesson times, whereas E4 can be used for quiet study and group work. During lunch and break times the Common Room has its own canteen, vending machine and hot drink facilities where you can sit and relax with friends.Students have the opportunity to join a variety of Student Committees to develop their organisational and leadership skills. This includes the Charity Committee which organises and runs several whole-school charity days throughout the year. Our Wednesday afternoon Enrichment programme offers students a range of activities to help student gain skills to become successful and independent adults, including the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.Don't just take our word for it: we have been listed by NottinghamWorld as the 4th best state Sixth Form in Nottinghamshire! And to this the Head of Sixth Form would like to add: "We are very proud of our sixth form students and the work our wonderful staff do with them. It is nice to see this reflected in our league table position, but even better see the evidence every day while working alongside such a positive and talented group of people."
