University

How did the Business Studies qualification help you progress towards your next steps?
Gave me the soft skills and the confidence to not only apply to university but also jobs. This was apparent ever since
starting on the Level 2 programme. My teacher was also a dream and Miss Maddock, I’ll remember you forever!

Employed

I applied for LJMU to do accounting and finance, but decided it weren’t the right path for me at that time. I worked
full time in a nightclub then started with Stadler as an apprentice in 2020. If I didn’t go to Childwall sixth form I
wouldn’t have got the career I have now.

University

University has provided me with so many new and exciting opportunities. I opted to complete 3 Business related
modules + a language learning additional one. Therefore, since my 1st year, I have progressed from a beginner’s level
to Intermediate in the German Language! I am now planning to spend a summer programme in Germany to
strengthen my skills in the language, learn more about their culture and to increase my life experiences as this is
sought after by future employers after graduation. My Business Studies qualification was extremely useful for my future progress. I am quite open to talking about
how after Sixth Form, I genuinely found that the Business World, in general, is a passion of mine and I have an
ardent interest in how industries, companies and trends work. I believe that basic knowledge of Business is
essential for students to become interested in the area, to hopefully continue to study it in higher education and
develop their skills in order to be successful.
