Welcome to Lawrence Sheriff School

Welcome to the Sixth Form at Lawrence Sheriff School. We offer a wide range of AS and A level courses as well as two BTEC Level 3 qualification in Engineering and Art to the prospective sixth formers of Rugby and the surrounding area. We seek to combine grammar school traditions whilst meeting the changing demands of our society. We welcome academic highfliers alongside diligent students with more modest reasons for studying beyond GCSE level and 40% of our sixth formers join us from other local schools. Since September 2018 we have been admitting girls into our sixth form and 20% of our sixth formers are now girls. Most of the students in Year 12 and 13 will study 3 subjects at A level, plus an AS level Extended Project Qualification or Financial Studies in Year 12. In addition to academic study we offer many and varied enrichment opportunities to all the sixth formers which provide breadth to their education and prepares them for life beyond school. Whilst there is no formal work experience period in the sixth form, students can do this at convenient times to suit their academic schedule and the availability of appropriate work experience providers.
