We are a purpose-built specialist academy and Post 16 located on the Olympic Legacy Park in Sheffield, a rapidly developing hub of scientific and technical innovation.Students in Year 12 and Year 13 can study different combinations of A Levels and technical qualifications for exciting pathways in:ComputingHealth Sciences & Social CareSport Science Our unique combination of technical and academic curriculum is complemented by a rich personal development programme and extensive employer engagement to help each student develop to their full potential.Our success is measured in the great results and destinations that our students achieve. Eighteen-year-old Tansy is one step closer to achieving her ambition to become a children’s nurse! Tansy has completed her post 16 studies at the UTC and is now at the University of Huddersfield where she is studying Pediatric Nursing. Tansy has had ambitions of becoming a nurse since being a teenager after spending some time in hospital, she joined the UTC as she thought it would help her get there.

Accomplished athlete Nandy is in the USA on a sport scholarships! Nandy completed her post 16 studies at UTC. She has now travelled across the Atlantic to study Sports Journalism at New Mexico University after securing a scholarship for track and field. She secured the scholarship after winning the Under 15s Girls England Age Group Championships for 300m, which not only made her the UK number 1 but also broke the championship record and is still the holder to this day. Nandy didn’t have a usual path into the UTC joining midway through Year 12 after her old school were unable to accommodate her training schedule, she said: “I was struggling to maintain my routine at my old school and this school focused on sport. Being on the Olympic Legacy Park you’re surrounded by it.”
