Welcome to The Elmgreen School

The Elmgreen Sixth Form is a creative, vibrant and successful place for students to study and achieve. As a school we are an ‘inclusive community’ where everyone is encouraged to achieve ‘beyond their potential’. This ethos particularly rings true for our students in The Elmgreen Sixth Form.We offer students a broad and balanced curriculum which is carefully matched to an individual’s needs and aspirations. Our wide curriculum covers a range of A-Levels and BTECs, ensuring that all students are able to select a subject combination which is right for them. The personal nature of our offer reflects the inclusive ideals of the school. Our strong pastoral team works with students, offering them help and guidance. The majority of students at Elmgreen go on to take up places at university, following individual support through the UCAS process. These include Oxbridge and Russell group universities, and our excellent careers programme works to educate and provide guidance with apprenticeship applications and other employment routes post Sixth Form. The Elmgreen School is part of the SL6 collaboration. The collaboration allows students to access wider range of subjects at partner schools so that the choice of subjects is both wide ranging and flexible. This school has excellent facilities which are fully reflected in the Sixth Form provision, including a Sixth Form study area within our library, where students can access help from qualified staff and outstanding IT equipment. Sixth Form students also benefit from their own catering facilities, personal tutoring and specialist staff to assist with UCAS applications.Whether you are continuing your journey with us from Year 11 or are looking to join us from anther school, we will ensure you feel welcomed, comfortable and part of the community. Our comprehensive induction programme ensures that you wil feel supported in this big step into post-16 life, developing skills, facilitating friendships and real opportunities to succeed.

Enrichment Activities

Show all activities
At The Elmgreen School, we believe in the transformative power of enrichment activities. These experiences are a pathway to developing essential life skills, sparking lifelong interests, and fostering robust networks of friendship and community. Enrichment is woven into the very fabric of our school life, offering every student the chance to explore, achieve, and thrive beyond the traditional academic curriculum.

Broadening Horizons
Learning doesn't stop at the classroom door. Throughout the academic year, our departments host a series of educational trips that bring subjects to life in vivid detail. These excursions are designed to complement and enhance our students' in-class learning.
Varied Interests
From the thrill of sports to the creative pulse of the arts, our range of clubs is as varied as the interests of our students. With activities scheduled for lunchtimes and after school, we ensure that every student from Year 7 to Year 13 has the opportunity to engage with something they love or discover something entirely new.
Weekly Clubs and Activities
At The Elmgreen School, enrichment is an integral part of your educational journey. Here are some of the weekly clubs we have on offer.
