Welcome to Co-op Academy Priesthorpe

It is an absolute privilege to lead a school community that I care deeply about and one that I have been a part of for over 20 years.I have been a teacher now in the local Bradford and Leeds area for almost 25 years. The majority of that time has been at Priesthorpe. I started as a Teacher of Business and Economics and have held a number of roles in school. I’m not sure I ever intended to stay at Priesthorpe as long as I have but there is something about the people, the students, the staff and the parents that keeps me here. Priesthorpe is a very special community and one that I am proud to continue to be a part of. There have been countless highlights during my time at Priesthorpe. I have been privileged to see students achieve exceptional grades and go on to study at top universities. I have also been humbled to watch students overcome significant challenges, and, through their resilience, achieve great things. Excellent grades are one part of our students’ journey. Becoming hard-working, kind, and compassionate young adults, ready to contribute positively to life in their communities and beyond, is just as important.I have sky-high expectations of our students and believe that everyone can achieve great things. As a community of staff, students, parents, and carers, I know we have the team we need to make these great things happen.Louise PrattPrincipal
